IT Network & Security Bootcamp Course Overview
Hofstra University's comprehensive IT Network & Security bootcamp curriculum is designed to be multi-disciplinary and simultaneously serve training for certification exam prep. Students will learn about hardware, operating systems, networking, coding in python, and will progress to penetration testing over the course of 12 weeks.
CompTIA IT Fundamentals ITF+
You’ll learn essential IT skills and knowledge needed to perform tasks commonly performed by advanced end-users and entry-level IT professionals alike, including; using features and functions of common operating systems and establishing network connectivity, identifying common software applications and their purpose, using security and web browsing best practices
Hardware and Operating System Fundamentals
You will acquire practical knowledge of hardware and operating systems: you will install, configure, optimize, troubleshoot, repair, upgrade, and perform preventive maintenance on personal computers, digital devices, and operating systems.
CompTIA Network+
You’ll target potential vulnerabilities and loopholes in a system and take cybersecurity measures to guard against attacks.
Security Fundamentals
You’ll learn to identify security threats and how to devise/implement prevention strategies by creating a controlled and secure environment.

Do I have to stop working or studying if I join bootcamp?
No, our flexible training hours allow you to easily balance academic and professional priorities with bootcamp.
What are the tuition costs for a Pace bootcamp?
Bootcamps are $2,900. We offer a pre pay payment discount a monthly installment option to cover bootcamp tuition costs.
How long does the bootcamp take to complete?
On average, immersive bootcamp takes about 3-6 months to complete.
Do you offer scholarships?
Yes! We offer scholarships through Pace Learn, Inc. Each application will be reviewed independently through our dedicated team at Pace. Bootcamp scholarships are not offered through Hofstra University.
Are there any prerequisites?
You must have a high school diploma or GED to register for the bootcamp.
Can I get a job in IT after graduating bootcamp?
Yes, our bootcamps prepare you for an entry-level job in IT. Additionally, our job placement services can help you find a job!
How many mentoring sessions are there?
Our IT Network & Security Bootcamp offers 2 hour mentoring sessions once per week.
Do you offer career counseling?
Yes, our career counselors will help you with resume building, mock interviews, and internship/job opportunities.
What is the refund policy?
In order to cancel enrollment and apply for a refund, you must notify a financial counselor and academic advisor in writing through an email. You will only receive a full tuition refund up to 7 days before the course start date. Deposits are non-refundable 6 days or fewer before the course start date. Once the course start date passes, you will be responsible for all tuition fees.
What are the system requirements for this bootcamp?
Students are required to have a computer operating system with Windows to access training labs. The current lab environment does not support the Apple M1 chip.
